Gemma Addy ( Writer / Director )

Gemma studied history at King's College London before pursuing a career in the film industry. In 2010, she completed a screenwriting course at the Met Film School and then joined the Film/TV team at David Higham in 2011. While working she studied Script Development at the NFTS, earning a distinction in the final project. Gemma recently completed the UCLA Advanced Writers Workshop, and three of her feature films have placed in recent competitions; SMALL TOWN (Bronze Winner; Page Awards 2019), SPARROW FARM (Semifinalist; Academy Nicholl Fellowship 2019, among the top 10 highest scoring women), and RUNNING (Semifinalist; Atlanta Film Festival and Page Awards 2018). She currently works as a freelance Story and Dialogue Editor. Gemma’s screenwriting is represented by Penni Killick at The Artists Partnership.

Dave Slade ( Writer / Director ) 

Dave graduated from Limerick School of Art in Ireland with a degree in Graphic Design before completing a Masters Degree in Film Studies and Production at University College Dublin in 2006. In 2007, Dave moved to London and began working for Envy post-production. In 2010, he joined Nexus Studios to work as an Editor. Dave is now Senior Editor and heads up the Edit Department. He’s edited commercials for Facebook, Honda, Coca-Cola, Audi, Google, Formula1, Android, EE, WaterAid, Macy’s and the BBC - including the Bafta award-winning Winter and Summer Olympic campaigns; “The Fearless Are Here” and “Let’s Go There”. Dave has also edited the Gorillaz’s “Cracker Island” music videos and directed 'Making Of' and ‘Behind the Scenes’ content films for numerous high-profile projects. In 2023, Dave was invited to return as a judge for the D&AD Awards.
