Our second short film, LANDSCAPE OF LOSS, is a video art installation we created for The White Cottage exhibition at the Sailor’s Home, Limerick, Ireland. It premiered in November 2016.

"The White Cottage is an exhibition of poetry, painting, sculpture, installation and video. Through these various media Jo Slade investigates and explores questions that are pertinent today, that challenge established ways of thinking and highlight the condition of the outsider, the displaced and the forgotten."

The White Cottage or The Little White House was the name given to Bunker 2, (originally a farmer’s cottage) at Auschwitz-Birkenau. On 9th August 1942, Edith Stein was murdered there. Edith Stein was a Jewish woman, philosopher, feminist and poet. Edith became a Catholic in 1922 and later joined the Carmelite Order. She was canonized in 1998. The project is, essentially, a receptacle for a memory. The memory of Edith Stein’s journey to her death.
